ZOO ZERO ‘Green Apples’ EP - 7” / download - March 12th and live shows‏...

ZOO ZERO ‘Green Apples’ EP is released on 7”/download on March 12 on Crest Cont. Recordings
Hear it here:

London three-piece Zoo Zero unveil their new EP ‘Green Apples’ in March.

Recorded with Elastica and Ride producer Marc Waterman, the EP sees the band push their avant-rock into even punchier, more exhilarating new shapes.

Opening track ‘Oh Dear’ takes the group’s most accessible moments to date and twists them into a riot of frenetic drumming and slashing feedback, reminiscent of Deerhoof duelling with Mission Of Burma – quite the entrance. Meanwhile, ‘Mirror You’ and the EP’s title track take a more hypnotic, but equally squalling, route through noisily psychedelic indie-rock.

Compared to Fugazi and Pixies by NME and Loud & Quiet, Zoo Zero – made up of guitarist/vocalist Tom Pinnock, guitarist Jon Lines and drummer/vocalist Matthew Barnes – destroy crafted indie-rock melodies with pummelling post-punk rhythms and detours into noise-rock and experimental drones.

The band are now gearing up to record new material and perform around the capital – see them on:

March 7th London’s Macbeth (March 7) and at the
Freak Scene noise-rock night at Heroes on Kentish Town Road (April 6).
