FLATS album 'Better Living' (out May 7th) and UK tour‏...

FLATS ANNOUNCE UK TOUR DATES

Submerged from view working on their first full-length mission statement for pretty much the entirety of 2011, FLATS are ready to re-emerge with the slathering beast that is 'Better Living' (Sweatshop/ One Little Indian, 7th May) - a debut record to rate up there alongside 'Black Sabbath' and Crass' 'Feeding Of The 5,000', as a masterstroke of insular, pure bloody-minded genius.

Says Dan Devine, their singer, "I wouldn't even call us a punk band anymore. There's two ideas of punk: people either think of John Lydon, he's the prerequisite, or they think of piss-heads with pink mohicans sitting on Camden Lock. I'm quite glad to say, I don't think we ever fitted into either of them."

Tuesday 01/05 London, 100 Club
Wednesday 02/05 Brighton, Green Door Store
Friday 04/05 Edinburgh, Electric Circus
Saturday 05/05 Leeds, Escobar
Monday 07/05 Manchester, Sound Control
Tuesday 08/05 Nottingham, Bodega
Wednesday 09/05 Bristol, Thekla
Sunday 13/05 Newcastle, Warehouse 34
Monday 14/05 Birmingham, Rainbow

They also play a warm-up Tuesday 27th March, Shacklewell Arms.
