Following his recent sell out performance, the award winning Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan returns to the De Montfort Hall on Monday 5th November with his own established group of musicians and vocalists.

The concert features Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan performing memorable Qawwalis immortalized by his uncle, the late Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, including Dum Mast Kalandar and Akhiyan Udeek Diyaan,as well as his own Bollywood hits such as Tere Mast Mast Do Nain and Teri Meri.

Expect an unforgettable evening exploring the rapturous realms of spiritual discovery through Qawwali - the mystical music of Indian and Pakistani Sufism - rooted in song forms more than 700 years old. The transcendent nature of the poetic lyrics and the vivacious musical base stirs ecstatic feelings of mystical adoration among both performers and audience members alike.
Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has contributed to numerous movie soundtracks, including 1995’s Dead Man Walking where he worked alongside his Uncle and Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, Four Feathers in 2002, and Mel Gibson’s Apocalypto in 2006. His popularity and reputation has been further enhanced by his work in Bollywood, resulting in numerous awards including "Best International Act" at the U.K. Asian Music Awards and "Best Playback Singer" at the Filmfare and IIFA Awards.
