Lana Del Rey conquers UK album chart...

US singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey has gone straight in at number one in the UK album chart with her debut release Born To Die.

The album has been eagerly anticipated by Del Rey's fans since the success of her independent label single Video Games last year.

Meanwhile, David Guetta's Titanium, featuring Sia, has gone to number one in the UK singles chart.

DJ and producer Guetta's track moved up one to topple Twilight by Cover Drive.

Cover Drive dropped to number six in the chart, compiled by the Official Charts Company.

Elsewhere in the album chart, Canadian veteran Leonard Cohen came in at number two with Old Ideas while Ed Sheeran dropped two places from number one with his acclaimed debut album +.

Canadian Alyssa Reid entered the singles chart at number two with her track Alone Again, featuring Jump Smokers.

Gotye rose from seven to number three with his track Somebody I Used To Know, featuring Kimbra.

The song by the Belgian-Australian musician was a big hit in Australia last year, spending eight weeks at number one.

Wild Ones by Flo Rida, also featuring Sia, remained at number five.
