Herman Dune + Allo Darlin' – London date 19 April at Heaven

The much loved French duo Herman Dune are back in London with their biggest headline gig ever at Heaven on 19 April. Following the release of their stunning album Strange Moosic on Fortuna POP!, David-Ivar (YaYa) Herman Dune and drummer Cosmic Neman are back to entertain us with their unique brand of folk pop with a new EP in April featuring the album track "Monument Park" and four other unreleased songs. Supporting them at the Heaven show will be Allo Darlin', who release their new album Europe on Fortuna POP! in May.

HERMAN DUNE
A decade ago, brothers David-Ivar and Andre Herman Dune and drummer Cosmic Neman let go of their secular life and created the band Herman Dune. Out of Paris, all across Europe and all the way to New York City, they gained a formidable Cult Status with the help of UK DJ John Peel. Without stepping out of the DIY network, with tape and 7” releases and devoted bedroom labels, numerous albums were released. In recent years founder member Andre has left the band, but David and Neman have continued relentlessly, their first album without Andre, ‘Giant’, in 2006, attracting wider recognition. The album’s opening song ‘I Wish That I Could See You Soon’ ranked in Rolling Stone US’s choice of ‘Best Songs In 2007’, and is well known for its Sesame-Street-style video. Last year the roaring success of the single "Tell Me Something I Don't Know", and its fantastic road movie video featuring Jon Hamm from Mad Men and a strange little blue yeti, was followed by the release on Fortuna POP! of ‘Strange Moosic’, the band’s most timeless and accessible album to date.

ALLO DARLIN’
Allo Darlin' are many things. They can turn a room in a famous punk venue into a joyous, jumping, sweaty, pop-mosh pit. Or bring a room of 500 to hushed silence with the few strums of a ukulele and a love song about cooking. Coming very much from a DIY approach, they inspire true dedication from their fans, many of whom will travel hundreds of miles to see them. In their brief lifetime they have toured the USA four times, sold out tours across the UK and embarked on an epic five-week European tour. The band have also been strongly supported by BBC 6music, recording several sessions including one at the BBC’s prestigious Maida Vale Studios. Their self-titled debut was released to universal acclaim in 2010 with plaudits including being named No. 2 record of the year by online retailer eMusic, and a glowing 1,200 word essay by legendary Go-Between Mr. Robert Forster in the Australian critical magazine, The Monthly. Despite all the activity, Allo Darlin’ have managed to record a killer second album “Europe”, out in April/May.
