HAIGHT-ASHBURY release second album 7th May, preceded by single on 27th February and touring...‏

"The two female singers, backed by a talented male guitarist, are like a new and improved version of a psychedelic Abba. The lyrics are great, the vocals are haunting, the timing is impressive and they fill the stage like a bigger much fuller band" - The Sunday Herald

Haight-Ashbury return with their second album 'Haight-Ashbury 2:The Ashburys', released on the 7th May on Lime Records. The first single is 'Sophomore' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRHPG1WiLiM released on February 27th.

Previously, 'Freeman Town' and 'Favourite Song', tracks from their first album 'Here In The Golden Rays', became radio hits across Europe, and the band ended 2011 with a sell-out show at world famous Les Transmusicales Fesival in Rennes.
The new album begins with the dark sitar frenzy of 'Maasricht (a treaty)' and ends with 'Love, Haight & Ashbury', a song the Carpenters would have been proud of.
Comprising, in a nutshell, angelic choral, folk female vocals set against often mournful music, the plethora of great songs on this album have led one French journalist to already describe it as the “shoegaze Rumours”.

Haight Ashbury will be taking to the road with a headline tour in support of the album. Meanwhile they play:
