Digital radio users urged to retune or lose stations...

Digital radio users who don't retune their radios may lose stations including Capital, Heart and XFM, according to Digital Radio UK.

Scheduled changes are being made to "improve the efficiency of the network" on Thursday.

"Although this only affects a small number of digital radio stations it is advised that digital radio listeners re-tune," a statement said.

"Some listeners may also need to reset their presets," it added.

Capital, Heart, Choice, XFM, LBC and Kiss are the six stations affected by the network update.

Digital Radio UK said listeners should get in the habit of retuning their radios on a regular basis.

"Just like TV, it's good practice to do it from time to time, in case any new stations come on air that listeners are otherwise unaware of," a spokeswoman said.

Sets are typically retuned by simply pressing the Autotune or Autoscan button. Further details on how to retune digital radios are available online.
