Handmade
Festival, a brand new arts festival taking place at venues across Leicester city
centre, can announce more musical additions and the stand-up comedy headliners
for its inaugural weekend.
The final musical headliners to be announced are Sam Duckworth, the acclaimed singer-songwriter also known as Get
Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, prog-hardcore trio Arcane
Roots, Leicester's globetrotting instrumentalists Maybeshewill and folk troubadour recently featured on BBC Radio 4's
The Now Show Grace Petrie. Also joining
the bill are Sulk, My First Tooth, Codex
Leicester, Peter Wyeth, Colobos, Haus, Midas Fall, Arms of Atlas, Speaking In
Italics, Surrender The Coast, Colobos, Haus, TE Morris, Weikie and Charlotte Carpenter.
Handmade can also announce its comedy line-up will be headlined by
musical stand-up Rob Deering and
Foster's Edinburgh Comedy Award 2012 nominee James Acaster. Additionally Robin
Ince, co-host of BBC Radio 4's Infinite Monkey Cage, will be heading up a
special Handmade Festival after party on Monday 27th May, bringing his Dirty
Book Club to Firebug, with very special guests to be announced soon.

Terrors, Grace Petrie, Kenworthy, Colobos, Midas Fall, Haus, Katie Malco, TE
Morris, Weikie, Charlotte Carpenter and more to be announced.
SUNDAY
Dutch Uncles, The Twilight Sad, Sky Larkin, We Three And The Death
Rattle, Arms of Atlas, Dark Dark Horse and more to be announced.
MONDAY
Robin Ince's Dirty Book Club with very special guests to be added.

Taking place over the weekend of 24th-26th May 2013, Handmade Festival
will feature music, stand-up comedy, film screenings and interactive art and
photography exhibitions. Live events over the three days will not just take
over the city’s established music venues, such as Firebug and The Cookie Jar,
but spaces new to music and arts events including the Guildhall, People’s
Photographic Gallery, Leicester Castle, Wyggeston's House and Bishop Street
Methodist Church.
