The Law announce album and dates...

THE LAW

release new album ‘Trigger’ - out 6 February 2012 on Local Boy Records - and announce dates...

Dundee’s finest pull the Trigger. The Law return with their highly anticipated new album ‘Trigger’. Released through Local Boy Records, the album is an outstanding follow up to 2009’s critically acclaimed debut ‘A Measure of Wealth.’

The same swagger and lyrical self-assuredness still courses through the Dundee bands confident return. Since the group’s debut album, The Law have gained a loyal fan base throughout the UK and beyond with the new album set to follow in the same footsteps. Artistically, ‘Trigger’ emits a new sense of maturity and insight, an atmospheric and spirited venture with stirring melodies surrounded by eloquent harmonies, with a fresh sense of intimacy and vulnerability from the record.

‘Trigger’ is an album that deserves to be listened to from beginning to end. From the uplifting vocals that spiral through the opening track ‘Gimme Some Love’ to the climax of the raw album title ‘Trigger.’ The album is teeming with tenderness, whilst maintaining its boyish charm and sense of adolescence with tracks such as the vibrant ‘Holiday.’

The tracks articulate a more experimental sound from the band, as blues infused rhythms flow throughout, influenced from the bands coast to coast tour of America, which took in New York, the legendary South by Southwest Festival in Austin, TX, and Los Angeles to name just a handful of cities. With significant media exposure across Europe and a positive response to the debut album and singles, a successful tour of Germany followed. With such widespread international acknowledgement and success, word soon spread and The Law had their music featured in the hit ABC network American television show ‘GREEK’ and the international trailer for the film ‘Men Who Stare at Goats.’

The Law have amassed throughout their career wide spread radio support in the UK and beyond with the likes of BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio Scotland, XFM, NME Radio, Clyde, Tay, Manchester Radio, WBER New York, KUSF San Francisco and KROQ Los Angeles to name but a few. The band have also garnered a wealth of support from press with reviews across, NME, Total Guitar, Music Week, Record of the Day, The Herald, Telegraph, The Scotsman, Sunday Mail, Daily Record and The Sun.

With the bands addictive choruses and lively stage shows, The Law soon became firm favourites across the UK music scene, playing a host of the country’s festivals throughout 2009 and 2010 which included Rock Ness, T in the Park, Reading and Leeds. The new album ‘Trigger’ is a triumphant return and is set to be an instant classic. The Law are resurrected, with all guns blazing.
