Clara Sanabras
Carried by the power of her virtuosic voice, this psychedelic-folk songstress creates an unmistakable bluesy sound with a continental urban twist. Born in France and Barcelona-raised, Sioux and Gypsy blood runs through Clara’s veins. One of the most original singer-songwriters emerging from the East London scene, she plays baroque guitar, charango and Indian harmonium – a collection as varied as her background, and she has performed at many prestigious international festivals, including Glastonbury, London Jazz Festival and Womad. “Her sound sits richly somewhere between Camille, Mariza and Joanna Newsom - a gorgeous place to be” (Uncut) www.clarasanabras.com

Plus support from
Bard

Led by Theo Bard, old folk hits a new groove as this band of troubadours collide in a rich harmony of guitar, accordion and clarinet. Home is the Woodburner community folk club deep in Hackney’s underground, but their sound resonates far beyond. The group will be performing music from the shortly to be released new album. “Troubadours Bard blend a love of traditional songs in songs infused with astute observations of modern life” (Time Out). www.wearebard.com
